After receiving overwhelming support from his fellow committee members, Isaac Akerman was sworn in to serve as Lakewood’s mayor for 2013. Steven Langert was installed as deputy mayor.
Akerman replaces Menashe Miller, who served as Mayor for the past two years.
The other committee members are Meir Lichtenstein and Ray Coles.
Akerman is in the last year of his first term as Lakewood Committeeman. He is up for reelection this November.
