One person is dead and two others are in police custody after an early-morning car crash on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn.
The incident began around 1:15 Thursday morning when NYPD officers began pursuing a stolen 1997 Nissan with two men inside at 93rd Street and 4th Avenue. The stolen vehicle then drove onto the Belt Parkway, eventually losing police.
Moments later, the stolen car crashed into another vehicle with four people inside, killing one man and injuring the other three passengers. They were transported to Lutheran Medical Center for treatment – where they were listed in stable condition.
Two passengers from the Nissan were taken into police custody.
