An IDF patrol along the Gaza border fence on Monday, 17 Nissan, discovered a back pack that contained firebombs ready for use. The bag was left near an area near an IDF outpost.
It is believed the bag was left by someone during the violent clashes between Gazans and IDF soldiers on Friday.
An Israeli military official commented, explaining the finding of the bag is yet another proof that the event was a planned terror event and not an innocent march by civilians as is claimed by Gaza officials.
Some 20,000 Gazans gathered along the border fence on Friday and engaged in confrontations with IDF soldiers, with many trying to cut the fence and enter Israel. The result according to Gaza Health Ministry officials was 16-18 dead and 1,200 wounded, including 46 who remain in serious condition.
Gaza leaders are working to arrange for an international probe into the events in another effort to isolate Israel in the international community.
