Rav Blau Remains Optimistic Regarding Yahadut Hatorah Campaign

Undoubtedly his is not without concern regarding the infighting in Yahadut Hatorah, but Rav Mordechai (Motka) Blau remains optimistic when asked about the outcome of the 11 Shevat general elections. Blau, who heads the משמרת הקודש והחינוך is also a familiar figure in the home of HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita and in Bnei Brak, and regarding the election, he is a senior campaign official. He is confident that despite it all, Yahadut Hatorah will reach seven seats.

Rav Blau told Kikar Shabbat that at the end of the day, the tzibur is aware of the situation, the gezeiros that face the chareidim camp, the need to vote, the need to put the correct people in Knesset. Blau appears to be less concerned by the apathy seen in the chareidi camp, and he remains confident that rotation issues within the party will be ironed out as they have been in the past.

  1. Rav Blau soesnt have his feet on the ground, he should go and talk to the poeple to realise he is making A grave error that will bury the party

  2. Optimism in a control manner is the way to go.

Rav Blau does need to activate the Charedi kehillos to come out and vote, since there is much apathy. The activist in the Charedi communities will be there but not for certain with a “Gimmel” in hand.
