Reply To: Disposable Diapers vs. Cloth

We used cloth diapers for two of our oldest children because of allergies/skin reactions to the disposables.
We used a diaper service and they dirty diapers went in a covered pail in a shed next to the back door. Back then (about 40 years ago) it was $5 per week per child. Pampers cost about $25 per week per child.
We have 2 grandchildren using cloth diapers. Our daughter has a separate washing machine in the basement for the diapers (she bought it on Craigslist for $50).
