Residents in Sderot were being terrorized once again today – after a total of 22 rockets slammed into the city leaving one person R”L dead.
A rocket slammed into the grounds of the Sapir College R”L killing one person instantly. MDA Medics reported numerous others injured in this attack as well, but their conditions are unknown.
During one barrage, at least eleven rockets landed within five minutes of each other, hitting a factory and a private residence causing structural damage. MDA Medics treated a few dozen people for shock during that barrage.
In another attack, a rocket scored a direct hit on a private home causing numerous injuries, and serious damage to the structure.
The terrorist group Hamas has claimed responsibility for today’s attacks.
Earlier Wednesday, at least six Hamas terrorists were killed in operations by the IDF in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
In southern Gaza, an IAF air strike destroyed a minivan carrying Hamas terrorists, killing five. Hamas said that the dead included a senior engineer involved in the production of the Kassam rockets, as well the commander of a local rocket-launching squad.
The IDF confirmed the strikes, which it said targeted vehicles transporting militants.
