The Chesed Fund is excited to announce its latest milestone – $15 million raised through the platform in less than two years – representing over 300,000 individual donations.
What started as idea in the mind of its founder, Avi Kehat, has become the go-to platform for both organizations and private individuals seeking to raise funds for their causes.
“I think at this point, The Chesed Fund has become a symbol of trustworthiness,” says Avi Kehat, speaking from his small office in Beit Shemesh. “They feel like it’s safe to donate on the platform because of the high security and the fact that we’re impartial – we’re not collecting fees off the donations.”
Kehat’s basement office is just a few feet square, full of papers, seforim, and of course, his trusty computer. From there, Kehat continuously refines The Chesed Fund’s infrastructure, scaling it to accommodate the hundreds of dollars – and visitors – that come through it every day.
Case in point: a large, respected organization recently contacted The Chesed Fund during an emergency fundraiser during which they experienced technical difficulties. They were up and running, and processing donations, in a matter of minutes.
Kehat and his development team are always looking to add new features to assist fundraisers. From single donations to recurring subscriptions to matching campaigns, The Chesed Fund now boasts additional features in addition to its core offering – zero platform fees.
“To date, I estimate the Chesed Fund has saved fundraisers over $250,000,” laughs Kehat. “There’s a lot of Chesed you can do with that much money.”
As its growth continues to skyrocket, The Chesed Fund hopes to continue to add features and functions to the fundraiser’s toolbox, while staying true to its core vision – empowering causes through zero fees and outstanding customer support.
