A Lakewood Hatzolah Ambulance responding to an emergency call Monday evening, collided with another vehicle, before crashing through a fence and coming to a stop in the front yard of a home.
The crash occurred shortly after 10:00PM on Central Avenue. The Hatzolah Ambulance was reportedly headed Westbound on Central Avenue with its lights and sirens, when according to witnesses a vehicle pulled out of Myrtle Avenue in front of the ambulance, causing it to crash, swerve off the road and crash through a fence, narrowly missing a home.
The Hatzolah member was not injured, and the other driver reportedly sustained some minor lacerations.
The ambulance sustained severe front-end damage.
