Two yeshiva bochrim are in custody after customs officials found them smuggling 293 packs of cigarettes while entering the country at Ben-Gurion International Airport in the green line.
The two were arrested last week, apparently on Thursday, 29 Kislev 5773 as they were returning to their Yerushalayim yeshiva from Moscow. The two are citizens of Argentina. Customs officials’ report the two admit flying to Moscow to buy the cigarettes to sell in Jerusalem for a profit.
The two were remanded before a Tel Aviv court, released on tens of thousands of NIS bail, and they are prohibited from leaving the country, and their passports were confiscated.

1. Well, at least they weren’t smoking them.
2. Is this an answer to those who complain about yeshiva kids not being interested in parnassah?
It’s an Anti-Semitic set-up! These young kids only thought they were only bringing in some antiques for a friend.
