The government on Sunday, 3 Teves 5773 accepted the state’s position, that the residents of Beit Ezra in Hebron would not be removed from the building in the coming four months during which time the state will look into the legalities of using the structure as a public building. This will be the state’s position, which is being presented to the High Court of Justice. The petition to the court was filed by the left-wing Meretz Party.

It is reported that if the building cannot be used as a kindergarten daycare center for the Jewish community, the residents will be ousted by the court.
