Dayanim in London are calling for a Yom Tefilla this Thursday, Yom Kippur Koton due to the government becoming involved in the education system.
It is explained the schools of late are under enormous pressure from agencies responsible for education, seeking to introduce studies that the chareidi tzibur find objectionable.
The pressure they explain is increasing literally from day-to-day.
Therefore, shuls and batei medrashim which recite Yom Kippur Koton, are called upon to add Tehillim. Those who do not recite Yom Kippur Koton are requested to gather and recite tehillim as well, as stated in the kol korei released by the Office of the Rabbinate of the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations in London.

Any details on what the objectionable subjects are?
Gender vechulu
I work in a government job, and we also have to sit thru these objectionable topics refreshers annually.
Objectionable? Like what? English, Science, history, mathematics? Just curious.
I do not understand what the goal of this Tefila is supposed to be. The Goyim of every nation want their educational system to teach how to be proper Goyim of that nation. Do they want the Goyim to stop being Goyim? Do they want some sort of political autonomy? Why should they allow Jews or anyone else to live in their countries if they do not accept their cultural values and norm? This is all part of the same problem as laws to ban bris milah and shechita. The Goyim are telling the Jews to leave their countries but the Jews are insisting that they have the “right” to stay and do what they want. Sorry but we have no right to tell the Goyim how to live in their own country. The UK, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Poland and all the others are Goyish countries and they have the right to live as they choose. There is no divine right of Jews to live any place other than Israel. In fact, all this is G-D
all this is G-D’s kindness to the Jews in Europe. He is telling them to get out before the gezera.
I wish the article would tell us what content it is. Is it Muslim studies, Sex Ed, study of Buddhism (idolatry)?? Although disappointing, if the subject is ‘Sex Ed’, then perhaps ‘age appropriate’ (If you will) sources from Shulchan Aruch, Gemarah, etc should be used. I recall in 9th Grade when we learned Yevamos that year, there were several prerequisites about the functions of the female body I learned in order to master the Gemorah and it’s commentaries. My point is, if a government requires a certain focus of study, we can use that in an advantageous way using what the Torah gave us.
Aryeh Z: The Zionist State is much worse. The Israeli government has in the past and present and threatening in the future to pass worse anti-Torah gezeros against Klal Yisroel.
They want to force small Yiddish kinderlach to be taught that same gender relationships are normal among other atrocities they want to force down our throughts.
