The IDF’s March induction is underway and following are some interesting statistics. The IDF reports 62% of inductees are male, and 38% female. It is also reported the most popular names among male inductees in order of popularity are Daniel, Amit, Itai, Yuval, Omer, Roi, Tomer, Idan, Ido and Ohr. Among females the names are Idan, Noah, Yuval, Adi, Amit, Maya, Shir, Shachar, Roni and Lior. The average age of a March 2018 inductee is 18.9 and the oldest is 29.

It is also reported that 10% of inductees were not born in Israel. They came from the Ukraine (264 inductees), USA (215), Ethiopia (267), France (188), and Russia (188).
