Yerushalayim Car Accident Victim Has Request From YWN Readers

Shalom from Jerusalem,

I am the “midwife” (doula, really) who was in the horrible car crash in January while on my way to a birth in Sanhendria Murhevedet, Jerusalem [reported HERE on YWN]. My cast is off and I am starting intensive physiotherapy, Baruch Hashem no operation.

However, I am making a plea to those who not only watch the news but feel it is our duty to do something to help our fellow Yidden.

The wonderful Israeli taxi driver, a father of 10, lost alot of Parnasa these past 2 months and the insurance replaces only part of it. I am trying to raise $2,000 on his behalf. If loads of people send a little bit, it will add up. Please help our Shomer Shabbos brother who doesn’t have an avenue to get help.

Send tax deductible contributions made out to American Friends of Nimlatal; Dov Levy (in notation area in bottom of check) and mail to:

  1. Sorry, but it gets too complicated. All 3 parties are here in Jerusalem. Rabbi Kaganoff is doing me a favor by using his non-profit. If someone needs a receipt other than the check, I will try to arrange it. In the meantime, Rabbi Kaganoff’s addrss is on Kvar Ivrei, Neve Yaacov,97472 Jerusalem.
    Thank you.

  2. If people want they can send it to my address and make the checks out to “Rov Kaganoff”, I will then take those checks and send them to Israel in two weeks with my rebbi who lives on that block.
    My address is:

  3. Once again this tzadekes shows that she only cares for others. As reported at the time (and it became a lesson of chizuk I shared with my family at the shabbos table) whilst she was lying wounded on the ground, she insisted that the hatzolo member who came to attend her should rather see to the woman who was in labour at the time.
A true disciple op Shifra and Pu’oh. The ladies she helps must be very lucky indeed. May she have a refuoh sheleimoh and soon be zocheh to continue her holy task.

  4. Thanks so much to all for your support for this pashuta Yid taxi driver. He made it until Pesach and is hoping some time soon to get the insurance money.
I am continuing physiotherapy but decided to not cancel my plans to visit Lakewood, New Jersey for a chizuk and tips talk on May 13th. Hope to see some of you at the Lakewood Courtyard or maybe at the doula(birth assistant) training from May 11th.
May you all have hatzlacha and brochas for your chesed.
