According to a report from Yishuv Kedumim security personnel, a suspicious Arab female arrived at the hitchhiking post on Route 55 on Monday afternoon, 18 Adar. A soldier at that location asked her to identify herself, but she refused and bean walking towards the main road in the direction of Mitzpei Yishai Junction.

The yishuv security officer, the IDF and police were summoned, and she was detained following their arrival. Upon inspection of the suspect and her belongings, they learned she carried an Israeli identity card and was mentally disturbed. She was released without incident after it was determined she was not armed.

Security officials stress that while in this case nothing occurred, citizens are urged to summon assistance if they have even just the slightest suspicions.
