An Arab male who was in a vehicle involved in a collision with a military vehicle on Route 557 between Einav and Shavei Shomron was shot dead on Monday morning, 19 Kislev 5773. The Arab male got out of the vehicle and ran towards soldiers with an axe. Two soldiers were lightly injured in the collision. There were no injuries in the attempted axe attack.

The patrol was suspicious of the vehicle and began following it, leading to the attempted attack. The injured soldiers were transported to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah.

12:20 IL: Officials permit reporting at this time that the “security officials” involved in the collision were agents of the Shin Bet. It is also reported 5 agents were injured when the terrorist rammed their vehicle.
