Thousands of teachers are receiving mail in the regular postal system from an organization called תקוות ישראל, a missionary organization according to a large front page ad placed in HaMevaser by Yad L’Achim. Accompanying the postal package is a copy of the New Testament.

“The teachers have not been selected randomly, but with the hope they will deliver the missionary message to tens of thousands of children nationwide” Yad L’Achim explains. The ad continues – “The anti-missionary law must be amended towards halting the sharp increase in missionary activities. We turn to members of Knesset and all those who can play a hand in bringing this about…”
