10:30PM IL: Terrorists in the Gaza Strip launched 12 rockets into Israel during the hour after a ceasefire was announced on Wednesday, an Israeli police spokesman said.
Israel and Hamas agreed to an Egyptian-sponsored ceasefire that came into effect at 9 p.m.to halt an eight-day conflict around the Gaza Strip that has killed more than 140 Arabs and five Israelis.
Spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the 12 rockets landed in open areas and caused not damage or casualties. “We have not changed our mode of alert and remain vigilant,” Rosenfeld said.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said the “Iron Dome” anti-missile system had intercepted some of the rockets. She added that Israel had ceased all air strikes on Gaza after the ceasefire came into effect.
In Gaza, witnesses reported one explosion shortly after the truce took effect, but there were no casualties and the cause of the blast was unclear.

Israel ceased and hamas fires for a full hour. that’s a ceasefire as per telling the truth in the koran. I suppose if bibi would be a muslim then hamas would’ve ceased and be on fire!!

Answer to #1: You didn’t learn anything from the last time?? Israel needs at least a good few years of rockets before doing something significant – ask your question in 1000 rockets’ time!!
In an article on CNN discussing the ceasefire, it quotes the defense minister as saying that they expect missiles for several hours after cease fire is announced based on the history of other ceasefires. Perhaps hamas is on jewish time where 9pm really means 11:30.
So Barak has just given a open invitation to the terrorists to continue firing rockets freely after the ceasefire has gone into effect because, well… that’s what’s expected. So let’s see according to that logic given 12 years of rocket fire to date, I guess therefore that we can look forward to expecting: another 12 in that case??! With idiots like that as government ministers, who needs enemies??!

Now, more seriously. The Hamas wanted to launch more rockets to show they are the last word saying. It’s an Arab thing. They know they lost… Gaza is ruined, their infrastructure is gone, their leaders are in hell (literally). They are shocked. They lost big time. Doesn’t mean they wouldn’t try again.
