There is a working structure fire at a Yeshiva building on 15 Roosevelt Avenue in New Square. The fire department is requesting mutual aid assistance from Spring Vally FD & New City FD. Additionally the fire marshals have been requested to respond for a suspicious fire.

any info,was the building vacant ? dorm ? kitchen ? any injuries ? why say suspicious ?
It was the school building nothing sireas only smoke from a burning fixture in an office. It was only smoke.
Actually there was a working fire (more than just smoke) in one classroom that was going quite well. FD was delayed due in part to large crowd at the scene (common in New Square). B”H no one was hurt and actual burn damage was limited to the one room with smoke damage to nearby rooms.
