A Prestwich rabbi was viciously beaten when three thugs armed with a baseball bat and knife broke down the front door to his home, and demanded his car keys the Jewish Telegraph is reporting. The Rabbi was viciously punched punched multiple times in his face before ransacking the house.
The three thugs stole the couple’s jewellery, a cell phone and their car. The Rabbis’s tefhillin and some Seforim were found the following day.
According to the Telegraph, the rabbi was unable to provide police with a description of the men, and are asking anyone with any information to please contact Bury CID on 856 8903 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The British Muslims do it again. When will people learn to deal with sickos causing trouble in their country?!?! Israel knows how to do it. Why can’t they learn???

I seriously doubt if it was Muslims in Prestwich, it was most probably white low life or Polish as usual. We tend to have a very good relationship with our local Pakistani community. Maybe someone from Prestwich wuill read this and enlighten us further – I am in Broughton Park and this is, as usual, the first I heard of it. We don’t do that much gossiping here.
How do you know that Muslims were involved? It doesn’t say anything like that in the story? I’m no fan of Muslims, but how can you jump to conclusions like that?

Now WHERE does it say MUSLIMS were responsible for this attack? My husband was beaten up by a white anti-semite in Manchester 25 years ago while he was stopped in the car at a red light! You don’t have to DO anything in Britain to get beaten up: Rabbi & Mrs. F. are Chessedik people who don’t look for trouble. This must have been terrifying for them.
Britain is a vicious anti-semitic country & it’s just not safe for Jews, esp. in Manchester. I’m not minimizing the huge Muslim problem over there, but don’t blame everything on the Arabs/Muslims; there are more than enough white lowlifes doing the same thing to us.

All of galut is unsafe for Jews. Nobody cancelled that Esav sonei at Yakov, and we are never safe from them. Galut is meant as a punishment. The only place where Jews can be Jews is in Eretz Yisrael.

In response to #s 7, 5, and 2, mabey I did jump to conclusions a little quickly, but from what I’ve heard and seen on the news, the arabs in England ( the fudamentalists anyway) are intent on hurting Jews. So from the perspective of somemone who has never been to england or heard about any terrorists in england besides arabs or thugs, it was a natural conclusion. But i do admit that I may have over-assumed in my previous comment.

Let us make a U-turn. Let us start today by doing some real in depth soul-searching about loving every Jew and how you can improve in this area.

The fundamentalists in England are not actually located in the Heimishe areas and the trouble they plan is directed at the whole population, although they toss in the Jews as well. There are never any ‘attacks’ co-ordinated against Yidden only. In addition they are mainly picked up while in the planning stages and never get to carry out their plans.

We’re b”h 15 years behind the USA in “progressive yiddishkeit” and so b”h have less problems with kids going off, dating issues, gashmius-entrenched outlook, commercial judiasm than the USA. B”h we have yet to make the all the mistakes the USA kehillos have made and live a life that bit closer to how it used to be in der heim.
Maybe in a few years we’ll “catch up” and have our magazines/shops modelling women with sheitels, our women forced to pancaked in makeup whenever they leave the house, fast food kosher mcdonalds at every corner, lobby groups and politics, a feeling we own the world and a total lack of respect for the medina we live in and the fact that we’re in glous. When that happens, I’ll move out the UK, until then we’ll let the Americans imagine we’re all under threat here from extremists and enjoy yiddishkeit on our little island.
