The Israel Police continues its determined activity to locate and seize weapons and weapons illegally held. Weapons that are illegally held are often used to carry out attacks, commit crimes, and commit acts of violence. Therefore, the Israel Police and the security forces explain they will “continue their determined and uncompromising struggle and will work tirelessly with the cooperation of all the relevant parties to reduce the scope of illegally held weapons, all in order to protect the normative citizen and enable a normal and safe routine for all Israeli citizens”.

On Wednesday, 15 Shevat, in an initiated operation, on Route 458 near Kochav Yaakov, a vehicle was stopped for inspection. During the search, the police found three shotguns and ammunition that had been moved under the seat in the vehicle.

Two adults, residents of the village of Maliq in the Shomron area were arrested for having illegal weapons. Police on Sunday will arraign them.
