As YWN first reported on Thursday morning, a woman was found dead on a quiet Midwood Street.
The NYPD has identified her as 23-year-old Taina Lacend, of Belmont Avenue in the Bronx NY.
Police say that at 6:25AM, 911 received a call reporting “an assault in progress” at 2317 Olean Street (between East 24 and East 23 and between Ave N-O) – in the confines of the 70th Precinct.
Upon arrival, police discovered the victim with no obvious signs of trauma lying unconscious and unresponsive, on the sidewalk at the location.
EMS responded and pronounced the female deceased at the scene.
An autopsy is being done, and the NYC Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
According to PIX11, surveillance video obtained from nearby homes shows a van stopping briefly at the place where the woman’s body was found, not long before police had been notified.
Police sources tell YWN that this appears to be an isolated incident, and it has not been classified as a homicide. Detectives are working diligently on the case, and hope to have additional information available to the public in the next few days.
It’s still not clear what led to that tragedy. The medical examiner’s report is expected later this week, or early next week.

they are working “diligently” just like there are never any know threats of a terrorist attack until AFTER it happens, on Sep. 10th 2011 there were no known threats either. under this commie mayor crime is going up, statistics are manipulated and the cops simply don’t respond to smaller crimes so as not to break the war on the only effective means of policing broken windows.
