The Buchenwald Memorial Foundation has severely criticized Switzerland’s main German language broadcaster for filming an interview with a far right politician in the Buchenwald concentration camp. Swiss television interviewed Swiss People’s Party legislator Christoph Moergeli in violation of the Foundation’s rules, according to the European Jewish Press.
The Buchenwald Foundation demanded that Moergeli and Swiss television apologize for conducting the interview. Never before has a politician or broadcaster disregarded our rules in such a way,” said Buchenwald Foundation head Volkhard Knigge. Filming at the camp is allowed only for documentaries or programs related to Nazi crimes.
