Baruch Hashem forecasters are calling for a sharp drop in temperatures from this week’s unseasonably warm and dry days beginning on Thursday night the eve of 24 Cheshvan 5773. Friday is expected to be blustery, accompanied by rainfall and sporadic thundershowers from the north to the northern Negev.
Temperatures will plummet 10 degrees Celsius and it will be unseasonably cold with wind gusts up to 70 KPH (42 MPH), and local flooding is expected in low lying areas.
On shabbos the storm is expected to continue with steady rainfall, once again from the north to the northern Negev, accompanied by unseasonably cooler temperatures.
Sunday will bring a tapering off of the rainfall and wind gusts.
Persons traveling for shabbos are advised and urged to set out earlier than they would in clear weather conditions as the stormy weather usually results in delays.
