The NYPD is investigating a fatal accident involving two tractor-trailers on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.
Police say a 50-year-old man, William Gardner Jr. of New Hope, Pa., was pronounced dead at the scene after being ejected from the passenger side window.
The accident occurred Tuesday at 11:20 p.m. under the Broadway overpass in Brooklyn.
Police say Gardner was traveling eastbound when his vehicle rear-ended the other truck, causing it to hit a median. They say Gardner’s truck then struck a wall and he was ejected through the window.
The 51-year-old driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.
Police say no criminality is suspected.
