Several tens of students from Rishon L’Tzion’s Shuvu Junior High School traveled to Bnei Brak and merited a meeting with gedolei yisrael including HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita and the Vishnitzer Rebbe Shlita. The two gedolim studied daily halacha with the students. The visit was part of a nationwide effort to introduce daily halacha study in schools in memory of the late philanthropist, Zev Wolfson z”l.
Simultaneously, a number of rabbonim affiliated with schools from Nazareth in the north to Beersheva in the south met with Rav Yehuda Silman, a leading figure in the Shuvu network, consulting with him towards learning from his expertise towards expanding the program. The rabbonim detailed their ongoing efforts towards bringing students closer to yiddishkheit.
The rav listened attentively to each and every rav, anxious to hear of their activities towards lighting the fire in the students, hoping to stir and interest in halacha and a frum lifestyle.
