Reform Movement In Israel Grows Significantly

The number of Israelis who identify with Reform Jewry has risen considerably. Actually, the number has doubled since 2010 according to a Dialogue poll commissioned by Yediot Achronot.

According to the poll, 7% of Israelis and 11% of the non-religious community identify themselves with the Reform Movement, representing a significant growth since reporting that number to be 3.7% back in 2010. According to Yediot, this represents the largest number of people identifying with the Reform in Israel’s history.

The poll reveals that 56% of the non-religious and 38% of those who identify as ‘traditional’, have during the past year taken part in a wedding or bar mitzvah led by a Reform or Conservative rabbi. In addition, 44% of Israelis do not identify with any stream of Judaism as 29% view themselves as dati leumi, 10% chareidi, 7% Reform and Conservative and 5% other.

  1. Poll commissioned by idiot Achronot? This “newspaper” and their web site YNet (GayNet) represent the worst in lefts’s agenda. Only idiots, just as title of the paper suggests, will take their poll seriously.
