YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of Rabbi Dovid Price Z”L, one of the first members of Flatbush Hatzolah (F23), and former Principal of Prospect Park Yeshiva. He also served as a Coordinator of Flatbush Hatzolah for many years.
Rabbi Price was R”L killed in a tragic accident on Tuesday night, on Ocean Parkway and Avenue O.
The Levaya will take place at Shomrei Hadas Chapels today (Wednesday) at 3:00PM.
The Kevurah will take place at Har Hamenuchos in Yerushalayim.

I transferred into Prospect Park in 2nd grade in the 1970s. I was terrified. Rabbi Price took me by the hand, handed me a lollypop and walked me to my classroom. Before we walked in, he gave me a wink and reassured me that it’s going to be OK. I remember that snapshot vividly. He was so sweet and caring to all his students. I especially loved 6th grade when he taught us. He will be remembered fondly.

BD”E!!! What a tragic loss. R’ Dovid was a most unique man. His caring and devotion, his love and affection to his students was and still is unmatched anywhere in the system.
His epitomized chesed in every way.
May he be a gutte beiter for all of klal yisroel, amein!

The niftar is scheduled to land in Ben Gurion at about 11:30 Thursday morning.
The levaya will be 2 hours later in the main parking lot at Har Hamenuchos.
