A talmid yeshiva was injured on Tuesday 16 Tishrei 5773 near Kever Shimon HaTzaddik in the eastern capital as he made his way to the Kosel on the first day of chol hamoed Sukkos. Four talmidim were heading to the Kosel when Arabs began pelting them with rocks while shouting “Ala Akbar”. The driver of the vehicle was struck in his head. The driver was transported to a local hospital. Baruch Hashem his injuries did not appear serious.
The victims reported that it took 20 minutes for police and EMS to respond, during which time the rock-throwing continued.
