The Ranbi: At least in one yeshiva, the high school bochurim approached the Menahel and asked if they can go to a white shirt only policy. Once it was adopted they didn’t revert back.
My children are allowed to wear colored shirts when they are not in yeshiva. By the way, white is a color.
