The Moreh Nevuchim is a sefer which comes to answer questions which come from or are dealt with in greek philosophy. It is incredibly difficult to understand without first having a background in greek philosophy. Afaik, most yeshiva bochurim do not have a background in greek philosophy and are not bothered by questions discussed in greek philosophy, so what would be the purpose of studying it????
