The New York City Board of Election ruled that Abraham Tischler’s bogus School Choice line cannot appear on the November ballot because he failed to obtain the required number of valid signatures.
“We thank the Board for seeing through the farce,” said E. O’Brien Murray, Simcha Felder’s campaign manager. “Voters know that Simcha Felder is the only candidate in this race who actually faces the daily challenge of paying Yeshiva tuition. Simcha has been at the forefront fighting for Yeshiva parents, and he’s been a leader in the fight for vouchers, restoring $16 million for vouchers,” said Murray.
“Simcha Felder is the only candidate in this race who has paid Yeshiva tuition. Having sent all his children to Yeshivos, Simcha knows the challenges families face every day,” concluded Murray.
Simcha Felder is running in the newly formed 17th Senate District that encompasses Borough Park, Flatbush, Midwood, Kensington and Sunset Park. Felder is currently New York City’s Deputy Comptroller for Budget and Accounting. He served the neighborhoods of Borough Park, Kensington and Flatbush in the City Council from 2002 through 2010.

If did so much for yeshiva parents why is tuition going up and yeshivas doing down? or is this a part of his need we all need more simcha nonsense. HE IS SCARED and used his Dem. party hacks and the useless and dysfunctional BOE to get Tischler off, likewise for his mentor Hikind.
1. YWN would further its own credibility by not running press releases as other than paid advertisements (or quoting sources doing so). A journalist would get the press releases from both sides, do some research, and produce a balanced story.
2. New York’s unique rules allowing multiple line, and its “tradition” of dubious nominating petitions and more dubious challenges, make it the laughingstock of the nation.
Moderators Response: Have Dov Hikind send YWN his press releases, and we will gladly publish them.
If you live in the new 17th district be sure to vote tomorrow for Simcha Felder.
For all who live in the 42nd Assembly district it’s very important to vote for one of our own, Rhoda Jacobs who is facing a strong challenge. Every vote will count in this close race.
At least Tischler didn’t take away our right to vote like Simcha Felder did when he was one of the sponsors of the bill to extend term limits when the NYC Voters not once but twice voted against it. I hope that people come out in big numbers in tomorrows primary & vote for Tischler to send a loud & clear message that we will not tolerate our elected officials to take away our right to vote.
