Security officials on Tuesday lifted a gag order permitting publication of the arrests of yet another Arab terror cell involving Jerusalem Arabs. Of the eight cell members in custody, five reside in the capital, and they are alleged to have planned terror attack as well as manufacturing and dealing in weapons.

The arrests were made last month when police and Shin Bet agents found weapons in a refrigerator in the eastern capital. At the time of the raid, authorities uncovered weapons, ammunition, pipe bombs, border police berets, photos of shahidim (Arab martyrs/ terrorists), kaffiyehs (Arab headdress) and Hamas flags. 250,000 NIS in cash was found in the store’s safe as well.

Suspects Nazam and Bilal Masswadle, brothers, deny the allegation leveled against them. They are reported to have told authorities the weapons were not intended for acts of terror. According to the reports, they did not explain the intended use of the weapons however.
