B’chasdei Hashem, this accident, which occurred at 23:00 on Monday night the eve of 24 Elul 5772 ended as it did. The incident took place on Rabbi Akiva Street in Elad. A child riding on a bicycle was hit by a vehicle, sustaining light injuries. The child was transported to Schneider Children’s Hospital.

A GMC struck the bicycle which became entangled, and the vehicle continued, dragging the bicycle along, with the driver simply unaware of what occurred. Ichud Hatzalah EMT Avi Keikov was there and saw what occurred, and he stopped the driver and called for backup.

In another Elad accident on Monday, parents and three children sustained light injuries when their vehicle flipped over during the morning hours. There were a number of other vehicular accidents during the day as well.
