President Obama poked fun at conspiracy theories which question whether he was born in the United States during a campaign stop in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday.
The president made a stop at a local sports bar, Gator Dockside, where he made the rounds, speaking to patrons, according to a White House pool report.
At one table, Obama was told by an adult that a young boy at the table was “born in Hawaii.”
“You were born in Hawaii? You have a birth certificate?” the president asked, as the table broke into laughter.
Pool reports said the young boy, Andre Wupperman, will turn 7 next week. He lives with his family in Orlando.
The president has joked about the conspiracy theories surrounding his birth before, but his campaign has been critical of comments from others.

Until about 20 years ago, most candidates had a sense of humor. It would greatly enhance the government and economy if they got it back again. One can argue that the apparently “dodo-ness” of the political leadership is itself the greatest challenge facing America – even more that the Dodo in Chief’s inept and counterproductive policies. They should really stop taking themselves so seriously – which would put them more in touch with how the rest of the country views them.
I can’t stand the man but it was a good line.
