Thieves broke into the Schneerson honey factory in Kfar Chabad earlier in the week in the hope of making off with the goods.

The community’s local security patrol arrived in time to prevent the thieves from driving away with the honey, worth a significant sum. ‘HaShmira’ member Yoel Balnitzky reports he received a confused phone call at about 03:00, telling him “I think someone is trying to break into the honey factory”.

The thieves had already taken thousands of jars of honey and yomtov gift packages that were ready. Baruch Hashem, Yoel and his boys arrived shortly before the truck drove off with the stolen merchandise. The thieves fled when they saw the HaShemira volunteers arrive.

The volunteers searched Kfar Chabad for tour hours in the hope of finding the thieves but they were not successful.
