(UPDATES BELOW) 3:15AM EST: (Click HERE for photos) Boro Park Hatzolah is on the scene of an overturned vehicle – into a building – at 44th Street and Ft Hamilton Parkway. They have requested four ambulances, paramedics, and additional BLS units forthwith. FDNY is using the “Hurst Tool” to cut the vehicle apart – and extricate the victims. NYPD ESU has been requested on a rush, and the NYPD “AI Squad” has been requested due to extent of injuries.
UPDATE 3:40AM EST: “Total of seven patients”. There is one person confirmed DOA on the scene. Hatzolah transported two patients to Maimonides Hospital – one in traumatic arrest, and one in stable condition. EMS transported two critical patients, and there are an additional two stable patients.
Additionally, the overturned vehicle is a NYC Medical Examiners vehicle. YWN cannot confirm if the fatality is from the medical examiners vehicle.
UPDATE 4:12AM EST: A source in the NYPD has confirmed to YWN that the patient transported to Maimonides Hospital in traumatic arrest has expired. This brings the total number of DOA’s – to two.
Volunteers from Misaskim and Chesed Shel Emmes are on the scene and their services will not be needed.

that corner is pachad pechadim the lights are messed up and in the past couple of months there were alot of fatal accidents there something should done maybe now they’ll wake up!
There are four different streets feeding into that intersection. The light are of short duration. This is a formula for disaster.
I had a minor accident on that corner too, a few years ago.
a relative of my friend had a near death accident on the same corner this year! definitely s/thing should be done!

People should really bombard the city to make safety changes on that corner to prevent further incidents Rachmana Litzlan.
