Promises were made, but when it comes down to it, the bill to be voted on to eliminate the disengagement in the northern Shomron may be delayed due to consideration vis-à-vis the US administration.
Coalition Chairman MK (Likud) David Bitan explained on Sunday that Israel is afraid a negative US response and therefore, the bill is being placed on hold. Bitan’s statement casts a new light on the bill, for it was believed PM Netanyahu wanted to delay it in a retaliatory move against Bayit Yehuda for not voting in favor of the French Law, which would prohibit a criminal investigation against a ruling prime minister. However, it is now explained the delay in the bill to cancel the Disengagement Law in the N. Shomron is tied to concerns of a US response and not to the Bayit Yehudi party.
The canceling of the 2005 Disengagement Law in the N. Shomron would permit the Jewish return to the settlements of SaNur, Chomesh, Ganim and Kadim, which were eliminated in 2005. Since the implementation of the Disengagement, there has been a growing Jewish presence in Chomesh, including a yeshiva gevoha and kollel that returns daily, sets up and learns and then removes all equipment nightly as the IDF does not permit leaving anything on the site.
These young idealists are traveling daily and learning under very difficult conditions, with mesirus nefesh, hoping to one day return and rebuild.
PM Netanyahu promised the bill would be approved on Sunday, but Mr. Netanyahu once again announced a last-minute delay. The bill has already been signed and approved by coalition chair Bitan.

This is one of the reasons Bibi has to go!!!
He is the reason the US has a chutzpah to talk. It started in the Bill Clinton years when He gave up Chevron (and got fooled by Bill the crooked Clinton. Pollard ended up sitting almost another 20 years in jail)
Bibi is probably the biggest talker with the weakest backbone!!!!
There is no room for such people in leadership
