Israel Police arrived with a charter bus in Jerusalem on Thursday afternoon, as more than sixty Peleg protesters were taken into custody.

Hundreds of Peleg Yeshiva Bochrim danced and sang as the bus was driven away – taking the prisoners to jail.

As can be expected, many of them will be charged with evading the draft as well.

The Peleg follows the Shita of Hagaon HaRav Shmuel Auerbach who holds that no one should register for the draft. All other Gedolim for the past 70 years have held that people should sign up for the draft, at which point they work on receiving an exemption from the IDF.

Meanwhile, Jerusalem was in gridlock, as the Peleg continued shutting down roadways, the Jerusalem Light Rail, streets in Bnai Brak, Tzefas and other areas.
