A prominent Saudi Arabian religious cleric declared that the Holocaust is an “exaggeration” and that Jewish people consume the blood of children during a wide-ranging interview with an Arabic television station.
Saudi cleric Salman Al-Odeh, a well-known scholar revered by millions globally, went on a lengthy tirade against the Jews during an interview Monday in which he stated that “the role of the Jews is to wreak destruction, to wage war, and to practice deception and extortion,” according to a translation of his remarks by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
Al-Odeh ranted about the use of human blood in Jewish religious rituals, a notorious anti-Semitic smear commonly referred to as a “blood libel.”
“It is well known that the Jews celebrate several holidays, one of which is the Passover, or the matzos holiday,” he said.

There’s a much truth in his statements as there is in the claim that dead moslem terrorists are greeted by 72 virgins.

I have no clue who this is, and I have no reason to defend him.
But if you watch the entire video, as I did, this is not the “take-away”.
He mentions that for thousands of years, the Jews were subject to persecution, deportation, killings [murder and mass-murder being the more accurate term(s)] and accusations. He then blames it on their “morals” and other nonsensical accusations, but the public admission of clear historical fact is there.
Regarding the Holocaust, he also admits it happened but then takes the Zionists to task for “exaggerating it”, whatever that means, and turning it into a sacred event and using it to extort the nations and making laws forbidding even discussing the legitimacy of any part of the Holocaust.
The holocaust was obviously unnaturally and immensely savage and brutal and all-around unthinkable on a genocidal scale and more. This is clear. But the precise historical record should be correctly recorded, rather than disallowing any discussion of the topic.
The Zionists in their evil, selfish and godless quest to usurp our religious and global identity as Jews to morph that like a Frankenstein creation into Zionism, have indeed caused tremendous damage in so many ways, particularly to Jews.
This is reflected in the statements of this Yishmaeli as he refers to the Zionists as Jews, not Zionists, vis-a-vis the “Palestinians” and others.
The grave error that he is far from alone in making, comes with much thanks to Zionism for this fallacy. It is the Zionists’ fault that every savage believes that Zionism *-* and, therefore, Judaism *-* is responsible for Zionist provocations and disturbances, when it is solely Zionism’s responsibility, not the Jews’ responsibility. Interestingly, Ahmadinejad was quoted using the term Zionist, not Jewish, in his latest outburst.
Regarding the blood libel accusation, every Jew knows that it is clearly forbidden to consume blood. Gentiles with any familiarity with their bible know the same about us. I suspect this Arab knows the same.
However, he doesn’t simply wildly accuse, but rather brings two “sources” for this false accusation. Unfortunately, the Christian world murdered many Jews over this mistaken and appalling belief, and from this that it made its way to the Muslim world, which this man is a part of.
While he is wrong, it’s not like he’s foaming at the mouth ranting like a lunatic.
Regarding the Holocaust and Zionist portions of his dialog:
The Zionists made a very big mess, and continue to do so, and we don’t know precisely what did or didn’t happen. But we would have been far better off without Zionism.
Regarding the blood libel:
What he describes sounds like a cult ritual, and it’s unfortunate that he hasn’t yet joined the civilized world in understanding that this is not Jewish behavior, and obviously never was Jewish behavior. But he’s got many incidents of such accusations (again, all false), so it’s understandable that in a backwards society that he could believe this.
of course its exaggerated! as much as entebbe, 7/11, all the holy suicide bombers and all the rockets flying into Israel.
