A Sukkah in Baltimore was torched overnight, in what appears to be an isolated incident.

Baltimore Shomrim received a report about the incident, and immediately responded as well as ensuring that Police were dispatched as well.

A Shomrim spokesperson tells YWN that police are taking this matter seriously.

A preliminary investigation of the incident indicates that this is an isolated incident where the home owner knows the perpetrator who suffers from mental health issues. The individual is now in custody and receiving the proper medical attention. This was not an anti-Semitic incident in any way.

Shomrim wants the community to know the details of the perpetrator and incident in order to alleviate any anxiety and news of this incident may cause the community and local residents.
