On Thursday night, the eve of 29 Menachem Av 5772 Klal Yisrael will mark the shloshim for Maran Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv ZATZAL. Many will visit the kever in Har Menuchos in Yerushalayim.

Hespeidim will be heard around Eretz Yisrael and the world as the torah tzibur gathers to mark the shloshim of the late posek hador. Gedolei Torah around the country will address the loss that Klal Yisrael suffered a month ago as we usher in Rosh Chodesh Elul. They will speak of the need to increase limud Torah and hasmoda by those who have accepted upon themselves a commitment to a Torah life.

Rabbonim will use the event to highlight the timing, Chodesh Elul, and the need for cheshbon nefesh and seeking to improve in our Avodas Hashem as well as inyanei בו אדם לחברו.

A shloshim event will be held on erev shabbos at the tziyun at 09:00, headed by the rav’s sons shlita. Egged promises to increase buses on the 54 line to accommodate the many expected to travel to Har Menuchos.
