Based on reports from residents to police, the two powerful explosions heard in the southern resort city of Eilat at about 22:00 on Wednesday night, the eve of 29 Menachem Av 5772, were Grad katyusha rockets. A search for the rockets was conducted but nothing was found. The search continues Thursday morning.
While the rocket attack remains ‘unconfirmed’ at this time, security officials are quite certain the explosions were a rocket attack from Sinai and the rockets apparently landed without causing damage or injuries baruch Hashem.
