Lawsuits have been filed against both Strauss and Tnuva dairies over their labeling of yogurts and other products containing fruit. According to the suit, products such as yogurt and granola are marked “with granola” but in actuality, there is less than 6% fruit or granola and is therefore misleading consumers into believing the product is something it is not.
The lawsuit against Tnuva is for 142.5 million NIS and Strauss 72 million NIS. The suit states the products should say “fruit flavored” but not “containing fruit” when the content is so low.
