I think it is great- someone wants to be machmir in a certain area, and instead of making a big ruckus about how everyone should conform to their self-imposed standards, they are doing something very individualized, so that they can keep their standards without forcing it on anyone else. I don’t see that anyone is handing out these glasses in the local shuls, or demanding that Egged place such windows on public buses. So what is wrong with someone trying to do what he feels is right for himself? maybe that is not what Hashem wants from you, but he feels it is what he needs to do.
