Doctors at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv will be using a smartphone application to assist with patient care. Doctors will be capable of viewing certain test results of their patients on their phones. They will be permitted access to certain levels of information in the hospital’s radiology department to check on results of diagnostic exams including CAT scans, MRIs, x-rays, and catheterization procedures. The app was developed by GE Heathcare, which is represented in Israel by Eldan.
Developers explain there is a security password system in place to address patient privacy issues. The application has been certified by the Ministry of Health in Israel.
