White House Press Secretary Jay Carney won’t say which city – Tel Aviv or Jerusalem — is the capital of Israel, despite repeated questioning in today’s press briefing.
Carney was caught flat-footed when asked which city is Israel’s capital. “I haven’t had that question in awhile,” he said after some hesitation. Our position has not changed. You know our position.” The reporter said she didn’t know, but Carney moved on to another question.

This is pathetic
It is very unfortunate that the United States does not recognize Yerushalayim as the capital of Israel, but remember that this has been the consistent policy of both Republican and Democratic administrations since 1948. This is not a new thing, and it is not just a Democratic thing or an Obama thing.
Vus is the chiddush. Bush’s press secretary, Ari Fleisher, gave almost the exact answer in the same flusterd format. This denial of reality has been the same under all recent Presidents going back to Jimmy Carter. Maybe find something new to beat up on Obama with.
How any Jew can vote for this soneh Yisrael is beyond me.
Vote for obama is a big vote first of all against the USA and than for peace in the middle east
“Gadolhadorah” wouldn’t mind referencing the date when Ari Fleisher “gave almost the exact answer in the same flusterd format”? I am interested in seeing just how “exact” is the “almost”…and its not that I would be surprised.
