Deputy Minister of Education (Yahadut HaTorah) Rav Menachem Eliezer Moses traveled to Poland in an official capacity where he will take part in the ceremony marking 70 years since the Warsaw Ghetto was wiped out. The ceremony will be held on a main street, the place from which 370,000 Jews were sent to concentration camps, never to he heard from again HY”D.
The deputy minister is quoted by HaMevaser as saying the in addition to the tragedy of the loss of life was the end of the generation, the culture, the torah and an era that will never return.
Moses is expected to meet with government ministers and discuss cooperation between the countries as well as meeting with the leaders of the Jewish community today. He will also address the condition of the area batei chaim and what is being done to maintain them.
