Israel traffic police stopped a vehicle and learned the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. It was the sixth time he was apprehended driving with a suspended license.
Police over the weekend participated in operations in a number of areas, including the apprehension of drivers with suspended licenses – chronic abusers. At about 2:00AM on Shabbos morning, the driver was apprehended on Route 2 near Shefyam Interchange.
The driver, a resident of northern Israel in his 40s, was driving with a license that expired in 2002 as he is barred from having a license now due to multiple suspensions, six in total, with the latest in November 2016, for a 24-month period.
This time, the driver was jailed and taken for an arraignment hearing.
