In Jerusalem’s Maalot Daphne neighborhood, workers are operating around-the-clock to set the stage of the upcoming 12th Siyum HaShas that will take place IY”H on Tuesday, 12 Menachem Av 5772 in the presence of gedolei yisrael shlita.
Engineers and many construction workers are involved in the project to prepare for the anticipated large crowd. Over 100 people are involved in setting up and the daily HaMevaser reports work is continuing around-the-clock.
Stands similar to those seen at professional stadiums are being erected and in the center, the dais that will accommodate hundreds of admorim, roshei yeshiva and rabbonim shlita. A special approach road is being paved for the rabbonim shlita to permit them to be brought to the dais by vehicle.
Surrounding the dais will be seats on 14 levels, with the scaffolding reaching 300 meters in height towards providing seating for 5,000 participants. There will also be a large stage to accommodate 30 ‘well known’ musicians, as well as an appropriate sound system and large screens for participants to view the dais and performers.
Entry to the event for ticket holders only, and tickets will be sold on Wednesday, 6 Menachem Av and Thursday, 7 Menachem Av 5772 “around the country”.

300 meters in height? Higlhy unlikely, pardon the pun. That’s almost as tall as the Empire State Building.
Where in Maalot Dafna are they setting all this up? And how much are tickets?
tickets are between 10 and 20 shekel each. Only adults – no kids allowed (at this moment in time)
