A small sinkhole swallowed a man’s foot and leg in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Tuesday morning.
The man’s right leg went through the small sinkhole all the way up to his hip.
The incident took place on Myrtle Avenue at Walworth Street at around 11:15 a.m.
Firefighters helped extricate the victim’s leg. He was taken to Woodhull Hospital for treatment.

The NYC Department of Transportation is repairing the sinkhole.
